A Mad Hawaiian Burger at Bo & Vine Burger Bar
Wednesday 10 October 2018   —   Category: Dining Out
Earlier this year a friend told me that I just HAD to try the Mad Hawaiian hamburger at Bo & Vine Burger Bar in nearby Salem, Oregon. So in April I went there for the first time.

This unusual gourmet burger consisted of a 1/3 pound beef patty, 2 slices of grilled pineapple, a thin slice of grilled spam, fresh jalapeño-cilantro slaw, sriracha, onion, Swiss cheese, teriyaki glaze and mayo between the buns.

It might sound like a weird combo, but it worked ... very drippy, very delicious!
I had a beer with my lunch, but I don’t remember what it was. Usually I take copious notes when at a restaurant, but this time I spaced out and failed to write down anything about this brew.

Afterwards I joined the Bo & Vine mailing list. Each month they feature a special burger not on their regular menu.

Seeing the photos and reading the descriptions of their exotic creations in these e-mails has set off a burger revolution in my own kitchen! All the juicy details can be found in Crafting Gourmet Burgers at Home.
