Orange Bloody Orange
Monday 16 March 2015   —   Category: Shooting
It was while living in Switzerland during the 1990s that I first discovered the strangely-colored, truly scrumptious blood orange. After many years of going without, they seem to be catching on in the U.S., or at least in Oregon.

While shopping at Fred Meyer yesterday and looking for regular oranges, I noticed a large stack of blood oranges in the adjacent bin. I delightedly snagged a couple and returned home in triumph.

This morning I was in the mood for a snack, so I grabbed an orange, a cutting board, a knife ... and my camera with macro lens! This red orange is so lovely to look at that it was almost a pity to eat it. But almost is not absolute, so after getting a few shots, I ate it. Dee - lish - ussss!

The photo turned out pretty scrumptious as well! As usual, you can click on it to see a larger version.
