Arctic Oregon: The Sequel
Thursday 6 February 2014   —   Category: Shooting
It’s amazing what half a day of snowing can accomplish! It has the power to transform ugly plastic hoops over the raised garden bed in our backyard into an arctic work of art!

Last December we were treated to sub-freezing temperatures and about six inches of snow — see Arctic Oregon!

Around 5:00 AM today a snow storm hit Oregon’s Willamette Valley, and now, at mid-afternoon, it is still coming down. An hour or so ago I decided to take my normal neighborhood-walk route to see what the local conditions were like. It was anything but normal!

On thing is for sure, it is A LOT easier walking in the street where cars have already packed down the snow than trying to slog through seven or eight inches of virgin snow on the sidewalk! There were hardly any cars on the neighborhood roads, so thankfully I was not in danger of being run over.

I’ve created the Albany Snow Feb 2014 album to hold all of the new winter-wonderland images.
