Olympus TG-2 In the Willamette River!
Sunday 30 June 2013   —   Category: Equipment
This is the seventh in a series of articles exploring the capabilities of my new Olympus TG-2 “tough” pocket camera. If you missed the past articles, you can view a list of them here.

A couple of weeks after getting my TG-2, I took my 11-year-old daughter Olivia down to the confluence of the Willamette River and the Calapooia River near downtown Albany, Oregon. While we were there, and my daughter was cooling off in the river waters, I gave her this waterproof camera and asked her to take it out and get some interesting shots.

Out of the 63 pictures she took while in the water, 11 of them were presentable enough to be included in the new TG-2 Water Test 2013 collection. It’s the first album on this Web site in which there is not a single photo taken by me!

I’m quite happy with the TG-2’s performance in the water, and with the interesting resulting photos — be sure to browse the pictures and see for yourself. I definitely plan on taking the camera in the water again — maybe next time it will be me!

Congratulations, Olivia! And thanks for helping me test the TG-2 in the water!
