Local Rambles For September 2012
Sunday 30 September 2012   —   Category: Outings
There’s nothing too exciting for September’s Local Rambles photos. I didn’t ramble too much this month, mostly because of my week-long trip to Lake Chelan in Washington. Trips like that always take a lot of time and energy for planning, as well as for recovery! And then there are all those photos to process, and blog articles to write, neither of which I have made much progress on.

But I did head out to the local area a few times, and each of those outings were to the same general area: the Soap Creek / Sulpher Springs / McDonald-Dunn Forest area just north of Corvallis. For my first outing, I drove along Soap Creek Road, from Tampico road until Sulpher Springs Road, then down Sulpher Springs Road into Corvallis. The second outing was a walk from Lewisburg Saddle at the top of Sulpher Springs Road, down Davies Road and the Old Growth Trail in OSU’s McDonald-Dunn Forest. The final outing was at OSU’s Peavy Arboretum, walking to Cronemiller Lake and back.

All told, I have only seven photos to share with you this month, which you can see in the Local Rambles SEP 2012 photo album. Well, life is like that — sometimes it’s fat, other times it’s lean!
