And the Cow Jumped Over the Moon
Thursday 2 August 2012   —   Category: Shooting
A bit after 6:00 this morning, I was on my daily neighborhood walk, when I came upon a lovely sight. In the pasture at the southwestern-most part of my loop, cows were peacefully grazing in a mist-shrouded field, while the full moon was slowly descending not far from Marys Peak, the highest point in the Oregon Coast Range. All of this is just one single photograph in my own neighborhood! You can click on the picture for a larger view.

What was that black cow pondering as it was gazing so steadily at me? Despite its apparent lack of movement, perhaps it was wondering if it had managed to land without being seen, or if I had caught it jumping over the moon? Who can truly know the secret ruminations of the bovine mind?!
