Hart Mountain 2012 — photo 1 of 88: The left half of this 14-photo, 56-degree panorama is dominated by the 15-mile-long Hart Mountain, part of the Hart Mountain National Antelope Refuge, which was my destination for the day. The highest point on the mountain is the 8,017-foot Warner Peak. On the right part of this photo is Poker Jim Ridge — that's such a colorful-sounding name that I'm sure there must be a very interesting story behind it! This photo was taken from the Frenchglen / Rock Creek Road near the eastern entrance to the Refuge, about 25 miles (as the crow flies) northeast of Hart Mountain, April 2012. Camera used: Sony Alpha α77 with Sony G-Series 70-200mm f/2.8 zoom lens. Scroll to the right to see the rest of this panoramic photo.
