Macro Magic 2012 — photo 1 of 20: A macro close-up shot of my very own eye! It's not often that I look deep into my own eyes, especially this close! So I had never before noticed the strange orange / brown / yellow colors on the inner part of the iris. Somehow or another, I ran across a Wikipedia article that talked about this very thing: Central heterochromia iridum. Wow! Such a big scientific name to describe my eye color! March 2012. Camera used: Sony Alpha α77 with Sony 50mm f/2.8 macro prime lens.
This photo won 3rd place in the monthly competitions of the Valley Viewfinders Camera Club in Albany, Oregon.
