Panoramas 2018 — photo 7 of 36: A 2-photo vertical panorama of my wife Catherine around 30 feet below ground level in Crack in the Ground, located about 59 miles southeast of Bend. This is just one of the many prehistoric volcanic landforms in Oregon’s Fort Rock / Christmas Lake Valley Basin. As you can see, snow in the Crack can last weeks and months longer than snowfall above. March 2018.
