McMenamins St. Francis Interiors 2017 — photo 18 of 62: “Our Lady of the Pipes” by Portland airbrush artist Damian Zari is one of many works of art gracing the walls of McMenamins Old St. Francis School in downtown Bend, Oregon. May 2017. About this painting Damian wrote:
The face is mirthful like a McMenamins Crystal Ballroom jester (in downtown Portland, OR), reflections like the golf pictures on the immediate left in the west entryway to McMenamins Edgefield in Troutdale, OR. The pipes are influenced by the Boiler Room (at the McMenamins Kennedy School in Portland), and by Olivia Behm.

The colorful outlines and flow are influenced by Myrna Yoder’s work in the south entrance of the Power Station at Edgefield. The lights are influenced by, well, everywhere within McMenamins. “The monuments of history being occupied by new life.”
Camera used: Olympus OM-D E-M5 with Panasonic Lumix 12-35mm f/2.8 zoom lens.
