Panoramas 2017 — photo 5 of 7: This 19-photo panorama takes in a nearly 60-degree view, looking east-southeast at the left end of the image to pretty much due south at the right end. It was taken from the south side of U.S. Route 101, about a quarter of a mile west of the northern end of the impressive four-mile-long Astoria–Megler Bridge, which carries the 101 across the Columbia River bewteen Point Ellice, Washington and Astoria, Oregon. The isolated mountain rising behind Astroia is the 3,288-foot Saddle Mountain, about 21 miles away. The distant smaller bridge in the right side of the photo is the New Youngs Bay Bridge.
