Oregon Coast North 2017 — photo 57 of 60: Looking south by east along Oceanside Beach, about six miles west of Tillamook and a couple of miles south of Cape Meares Lighthouse, on Oregon’s North Coast. On the left is my wife Catherine, and beyond her is part of Oceanside. Behind me is the south entrance to Maxwell Point Tunnel.
After quite a bit of research, I was surprised to find that the tallest mountain in the center background, about seven miles away, is a 1,795-foot peak with no name — even though its eastern slope is the source of the Tillamook River. It is located about four miles northeast of Cape Lookout, which is the last point of land near the right edge of the photo. January 2017.
Camera used: Olympus OM-D E-M5 with Panasonic Lumix 12-35mm f/2.8 zoom lens.
