Best of Food & Cooking 2016 — photo 41 of 50: A Firehouse Burger — which I got for free after getting all of the Portland West Side stamps on Page 11 of my McMenamins Passport — at the Imbrie Hall restaurant on their Cornelius Pass Roadhouse property in Hillsboro, Oregon, in the western Portland metro area.
According to the menu, it consisted of a 6 ounce Country Natural Beef patty seasoned with Cajun spice on a sesame brioche bun with lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, jalapeño, pepper jack and secret sauce. I had a green salad with it instead of fries. The burger was spicy and good, but not great. It was a bit dry — maybe they skimped on the secret sauce. I guess I should have added some mustard and ketchup from the bottles on the table. November 2016. Camera used: Olympus OM-D E-M5 with Panasonic Lumix 12-35mm f/2.8 zoom lens.
