Oregon Pub Crawl 2017 — photo 68 of 71: A pint of The Keep from Ordnance Brewing, which I enjoyed at 1188 Brewing in beautiful downtown John Day, Oregon. According to the brewer:
“New for spring / summer 2017. Paying homage to the beekeeper. This golden ale is brewed with honey gathered from our farms near Hermiston, Oregon, where the beekeeper hives are alongside Craig Coleman’s blueberry fields.¬†Fresh honey right off our farms. The honey gives this beer a little extra flavor and overall character, leading into a dry finish. A delicious any-time beer and great with food.” Measurements: 5.6% ABV • 24 IBU
In the product sheet PDF they feature The Beekeepers and the Birdnester, a 1568 drawing by Pieter Bruegel the Elder. My notes from that day read: “This beer was really good, slightly bitter without being too hoppy.” June 2017. Camera used: Olympus OM-D E-M5 with Panasonic Lumix 12-35mm f/2.8 zoom lens.
