Oregon Pub Crawl 2017 — photo 64 of 71: A 20 oz (British pint) glass of Red Yarn by Aletruism Brewing which I sipped at a sidewalk table in front of their Oregon Public House at 700 NE Dekum Street in Portland’s Woodlawn neighborhood. According to the brewer:
“This Northwest-style red ale — named after the stage name of Portland-based musician Andy Furgeson — is woody, piney and citrusy.” Measurements: 6.5% ABV • 60 IBUWith its high ABV and IBU, this is definitely an Imperial Red Ale. My notes from that day read: “Similar to Lompoc Proletariat Red ... it was pretty good, fairly hoppy ... I think I prefer the Proletariat Red, but actually I think they are very similar.” May 2017.
