Portland Lone Fir Cemetery 2016 — photo 10 of 13: Looking up into the branches of the original fir tree which prompted the name of the historic (established in 1855) Lone Fir Cemetery in Southeast Portland, Oregon. Over 150 years later, this same fir has the company of more than 700 trees representing 67 species growing throughout the site, making it Portland’s second largest arboretum. September 2016.
