McMenamins Beer (All Years) — photo 125 of 140: A pint of Sunny Day Golden Ale which I sipped on the back patio at McMenamins Old Church and Pub, located in the southern Portland metro area city of Wilsonville, Oregon. According to the brewer:
“This golden ale uses Horizon hops to add a mild bitterness to the beer. Then we added small amounts of Centennial hops throughout the boil to bring out small hints of spice and citrus, and the addition of Crystal 15 Malt provides a beautiful golden color. Whether it’s winter or summer, you’ll have a sunny day in your pint no matter what.” Measurements: 4.8% ABV • 21 IBUMy notes from that day read: “It’s OK, but a bit bland. After a few more sips, I suppose it’s OK, but there are better beers to get instead.” May 2018. Camera used: Olympus OM-D E-M5 with Olympus 12-100mm f/4.0 zoom lens.
