McMenamins Beer (All Years) — photo 32 of 140: A pint of Corn Fed Common (on nitro) which I sipped with a meal on the patio of McMenamins Kalama Harbor Lodge Pub, one of four venues for eating and drinking at their new Kalama Harbor Lodge, on the east bank of the Columbia River in Kalama, Washington. According to the brewer:
“A hefty addition of flaked corn adds a slight hint of sweetness to this Old World hybrid of ale and lager.” Measurements: 5.5% ABV • 23 IBU
My notes from that day read: “Nitro smooth, but a bit on the sweet side, and a bit watery/weak due to less hops. I probably wouldn’t get again ... however, a bland beer was a great counterbalance to the fairly spicy meal.” May 2018. Camera used: Olympus OM-D E-M5 with Olympus 12-100mm f/4.0 zoom lens.
