McMenamins Beer (All Years) — photo 116 of 140: A pint of Spring Away Lager which I sipped on the patio of the fourth-floor McMenamins Cloud Bar, one of four venues for eating and drinking at their new Kalama Harbor Lodge, on the east bank of the Columbia River in Kalama, Washington. According to the brewer:
“Our summer is only one spring away! This German-style lager has a pleasant honey-like sweetness up front, balanced with a dry and crisp finish. With every sip, close your eyes and smell the air, infused with green meadows and wildflowers, thirsty for the sunshine. With every sip, summer is getting closer. So don’t be shy. Wish for it and enjoy every pint of this delicious brew. Prost!” Measurements: 5.2% ABV • 17 IBUMy notes from that day read: “This one is a bit floral like Pakalolo Pale Ale, but I liked it better ... I would probably get it again.” May 2018. Camera used: Olympus OM-D E-M5 with Olympus 12-100mm f/4.0 zoom lens.
