McMenamins Beer (All Years) — photo 57 of 140: A pint of Hammertime that I got at the Fireside Bar, one of five venues for eating and drinking on the McMenamins Old St. Francis School property in Bend, Oregon. According to the brewer:
“If you’re a Hammerhead fiend, then get ready for a new twist on our beloved flagship pale ale. Brewed with the same malts as Hammerhead, this new take on the recipe features a whole new lineup of hops that provide a touch more bitterness. This beer dances on the line between Pale and IPA and is a very tasty reimagining, in tribute to the original classic.” Measurements: 5.6% ABV • 67 IBUMy notes from that day read: “Original Hammerhead is MUCH better ... this does not seem hoppier, it seems weaker or waterier ... very disappointing ... I would not get it again.” March 2018. Camera used: Olympus OM-D E-M5 with Olympus 12-100mm f/4.0 zoom lens.
