McMenamins Beer (All Years) — photo 122 of 140: A Summer Soulstice Wheat which I enjoyed at the McMenamins Hillsdale Brewery and Public House in the Hillsdale neighborhood of Southwest Portland, Oregon. According to the brewer:
“Summer is finally here. Now beat the heat with this Wheat! Summer Soulstice was brewed with a simple but rich malt build, with hop additions lending spicy, floral notes with fruity esters in every refreshing sip. There’s plenty of soul to go around this season, so enjoy the glass in hand, whether you’re on your own or in the company of good friends.” Measurements: 5.0% ABV • 29 IBUMy notes from that day read: “Came with a slice of orange ... a nice variation on a lemon slice. This wheat beer is pretty good, and as you might expect, the orange slice adds a bit of orange taste. It is WAY better than the banana wheat I had at the New Tourist Bar earlier in the day! I would get this again.” August 2017. Camera used: Olympus OM-D E-M5 with Panasonic Lumix 12-35mm f/2.8 zoom lens.
