McMenamins Beer (All Years) — photo 2 of 106: 96 Degrees in the Shade was not the temperature, but a beer I had at the McMenamins Monroe Brewpub in Corvallis, Oregon. According to the brewer:
“When it feels like 96 degrees in the shade, cool back with this lightly colored American Wheat. With more body and flavor than your typical domestic lager, this malt-forward beer hits all the requirements for an ice-cold thirst-slayer.” Measurements: 4.8% ABV • 11 IBUMy notes from that day read: “It’s OK, but a bit bland ... what do you expect for IBU 11? I like Widmer Brothers Hefe MUCH better, or even some other McMenamins wheats, like Farmstead Wheat or Reaper’s Wheat.” August 2017. Camera used: Olympus OM-D E-M5 with Panasonic Lumix 12-35mm f/2.8 zoom lens.
