McMenamins Beer (All Years) — photo 113 of 140: A pint of Southern Belle White Wheat Ale which I sipped on the fifth-floor Rooftop Bar patio on top of the historic (built 1905) McMenamins Hotel Oregon in downtown McMinnville, Oregon. According to the brewer:
“This wheat ale was made to be light-bodied, crisp and flavorful. Using a small amount of Munich and Crystal malts gives this White Wheat just a little more color than the norm in this style. An early addition of Citra hops, as well as two later additions of Sterling and Centennial, make this ale burst with flavor. Inspired by a true Southern belle, this ale will leave your palate longing for another sip or two.” Measurements: 5.2% ABV • 32 IBUMy notes from that day read: “Not bad, but I don’t think I would order it again.” June 2017. Camera used: Olympus OM-D E-M5 with Panasonic Lumix 12-35mm f/2.8 zoom lens.
