McMenamins Beer (All Years) — photo 73 of 140: A McMenamins Lizbie Browne beer that I had at their Hillsdale Brewery and Public House in the Hillsdale neighborhood of Southwest Portland, Oregon. According to the brewer:
“This light English-style Brown Ale pours on the nitro tap and tastes smooth and nutty. Don’t hesitate to order a pint now before the opportunity passes you by! ‘But Lizbie Browne, I let you slip; shaped not a sign; touched never your lip with lip of mine, lost Lizbie Browne. So, Lizbie Browne, when on a day men speak of me as not, you’ll say, “And who was he?” Yes Lizbie Browne!’” Measurements: 5.1% ABV • 28 IBUMy notes from that day read: “OK, but a bit on the watery side (28 IBU) ... I don’t think I would have it again.” August 2016.
