McMenamins Beer (All Years) — photo 130 of 140: A pint of Top Sider ESB which I enjoyed at the Power Station Pub, one of eleven venues for eating and drinking on the McMenamins Edgefield property in Troutdale, Oregon, on the eastern edge of the Portland metro area. According to the brewer:
“Do you like sailing on the seven seas, traveling with the wind at your back, as you squint sternly towards the horizon at full nautical speed? Top Sider ESB on nitro will help you along your mythical conquest. Full-bodied with a deep copper appearance, it offers a fine balance between the floral notes of the hops and the sweet biscuity malt flavors.” Measurements: 5.7% ABV • 32 IBUMy notes from that day read: “Nice ... a good balance with a definite malty taste and a nice hoppy bitterness. I would get it again.” June 2018. Camera used: Olympus OM-D E-M5 with Olympus 12-100mm f/4.0 zoom lens.
