McMenamins Pub Crawl 2017 — photo 175 of 269: A Bull Market Burger — which I got for free after getting all of the Downtown / NW Portland stamps on Page 9 of my McMenamins Passport — at their Market Street Pub, located in Southpark Square — bounded by SW Market & Clay Streets and SW 10th & Park Avenues — in the Portland State University district of downtown Portland, Oregon.
According to the menu, it consisted of a 6 ounce Country Natural Beef patty on a bun with lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, bacon, grilled onions, cheddar cheese, and Hammerhead BBQ sauce. I had a green salad with it instead of fries. The burger was pretty juicy, unlike past burgers at McMenamins. It was so tall that I had a hard time getting my mouth around it, but somehow I managed.
Although it was a good burger, at $13 it seems way overpriced, just like most of the burgers and sandwiches on McMenamins menus. For the most bang for the buck, I think I’m much better off getting one of the wonderful six-dollar burgers at Carl’s Jr. July 2017.
