Black and White 2016 — photo 86 of 134: Looking generally northeast from the North Vancouver Avenue overpass between Farragut Street and Columbia Boulevard, in the Piedmont Neighborhood of Portland, Oregon. About 49 miles away is the 8,365-foot (formerly 9,677-foot) Mount St. Helens in Washington state. Further back to the left, what looks like two separate peaks are actually both part of the 14,411-foot Mt. Rainier, the highest mountain in Washington state and in the Cascades, about 98 miles away. The summit of Mt. Rainier itself is the right-most of the two, while to its left is the subsidiary peak called Liberty Cap, which is about 300 feet lower. March 2016. Camera used: Olympus OM-D E-M5 with Panasonic Lumix 35-100mm f/2.8 zoom lens.
