Gourmet Chef Wannabe 2015 — photo 7 of 292: What I made for lunch today: a pork chop fried in extra-virgin olive oil at high heat in a cast-iron skillet for about 15 minutes, topped with homemade spicy whole-grain pub mustard from the cookbook Pretzel Making at Home by Andrea Slonecker. Trader Joe’s stuffing (I stocked up at Thanksgiving!), with the addition of Italian sausage, celery and onion. A bowl of French-cut green beans sautéed in butter. A glass of red wine to wash it all down. I have never had such a tender, juicy, tasty, divine pork chop — I thought I had died and gone to hog heaven! July 2015. Camera used: Olympus OM-D E-M5 with Panasonic Lumix 12-35mm f/2.8 zoom lens.
