Oregon Pub Crawl 2016 — photo 80 of 96: While at the Widmer Brothers Brewing complex on North Russell Street, between Mississippi and Interstate Avenues, in the Eliot Neighborhood of Portland, Oregon, I stopped for lunch at their pub. For this, my first visit in March 2016, I had their gold-medal-winning PDX Pils, which they described as:
“A northern German-style pilsner brewed in the northern part of Portland, dry-hopped with Columbia hops, displaying firm and lingering bitterness complemented by flavors of graham cracker and lemon zest.” Measurements: 5.7% ABV • 31 IBUMy notes from that day read: “It was pretty good but a bit bland ... that’s what I get for choosing a ‘safe’ low-IBU beer. On the other hand, it went great with the meal.” Camera used: Olympus OM-D E-M5 with Panasonic Lumix 12-35mm f/2.8 zoom lens.
