Oregon Pub Crawl 2016 — photo 103 of 112: On my February 2016 visit to Zoiglhaus German Brewery & Pub, which opened in the southeastern Portland neighborhood of Lents in September 2015, I tried their Lents Lager. According to the brewer:
“Our house lager is based on the Bavarian Helles, which was created as a response to the rise of the Pilsner beers in the 19th century, being less bitter and a bit more malt-focused. A great Helles combines a clean, crisp malt background with a subtle yet present spicy hop flavor. It has an elegant simplicity and ultimate drinkability.” Measurements: 5% ABV • 22 IBUCamera used: Olympus OM-D E-M5 with Panasonic Lumix 12-35mm f/2.8 zoom lens.
