Portland Bridge Pedal and Stride 2015 — photo 44 of 59: Looking down the 1,700-foot (one-third of a mile) span of Tilikum Crossing, with its 180-foot pentagonal-shaped stay-cable towers — Portland’s first new bridge across the Willamette River in more than 40 years. Some of the more than 20,000 participants in the 20th annual Providence Bridge Pedal (and Stride) crawl along the packed 14-foot-wide path for cyclists and pedestrians on the north side of the bridge. In the background, on the right is the 625-foot, red and white Stonehenge Radio Tower on Sentinel Hill, while on the left is the 197-foot support tower for the Portland Aerial Tram. August 9, 2015. Camera used: Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS50.
