Oregon Wine Country 2015 — photo 20 of 21: McMinnville, in the heart of Oregon Wine Country, has a growing brewery scene as well. One day I stopped by Golden Valley Brewery to try their award-winning Beaverton Blonde. According to the brewer:
“2015 Great American Beer Festival Gold Medal Winner in the English-Style Summer Ale category. Golden Valley’s sessionable blonde ale; straw gold in color and lightly hopped for a crisp and smooth flavor.” Measurements: 4.2% ABV • 10 IBU
It was pretty good, but nothing special ... a bit on the bland side. I suppose that’s what I get for choosing a beer with such low alcohol and IBU measurements. I think I would choose one of my preferred Pilsners over this beer. October 2015.

This photo is one of six that I printed 12 x 18", framed, and hung in my home bar. Camera used: Olympus OM-D E-M5 with Panasonic Lumix 12-35mm f/2.8 zoom lens.
