Homemade Images 2014 — photo 44 of 47: A European garden spider — also known as a cross spider because of the patter of white dots across its back — in its web on the side of my house. I would estimate that the diameter of the large bulb of its body is about the same as a dime — around 15mm. I hope that it is happy to stay outside, and doesn't want to come inside once the Oregon rainy season starts next week! October 2014. Camera used: Olympus OM-D E-M5 with Panasonic Lumix 100-300mm f/4.0-5.6 zoom lens.
