In the third week of January 2012, Oregon's Willamette Valley experienced a large amount of rain in a short amount of time, resulting in some localized flooding around the Valley, including my own town of Albany. Not wanting to miss a photo op, I reconnoiter my neighborhood as well as downtown Albany, to see what the Calapooia (pronounced: cal-uh-POOH-yuh) and Willamette rivers were up to. Let me tell you, they were definitely UP! I got some great shots, mostly with my wife's point and shoot Canon camera (I didn't want to get my nice, expensive camera wet!), including six panoramas.
