Shortly after getting my first SLR camera in 25 years in March 2011, I also picked up a couple of macro lenses. This, literally, opened up a whole new world of photography!

Besides all the close-up flower photos, I've also focused my lens on other objects, to see what they look like at the macro level. In this album you'll find abalone shells, spider webs, various foods, gold and silver coins, a candle wick, a dead fly, and more!

Don't miss the macro photos from other years: In addition, you can see all of my macro images together in the Macro Magic (All Years) conglomerate "super-album."
