In February 2011 we got one of our rare snows here in Albany,
Oregon. Homeschool immediately moved from sitting at tables with pencils in hand to romping outside with snowballs in hand — and CAMERAS in hand!
Because I had just sold my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50,
but had not yet received my newly-purchased Sony Alpha α55,
I grabbed our family video camera, a Panasonic HDC-TM700
(which also takes decent still photos), and headed out to the neighborhood forest with the family to see what we could see.
Everything was so gorgeous with its white layer of snow, especially the forest swamp. The first 3 photos were taken in our backyard, while the next 14 were in the forest. The last 3 were taken by my wife Catherine in the forest.
