Even though I am only a gourmet chef wannabe not ready for prime time, nevertheless I have been intrigued by the information presented in the Eggs on Top: Recipes Elevated by an Egg cookbook by Portland author Andrea Slonecker.

During the past couple of months I have been trying some of the recipes in this book, with varying degrees of success. Poached eggs and deep-fried eggs were challenging adventures that did not turn out so well. In contrast, the two baked skillet egg recipes I tried both turned out wonderfully. Of course, on each occasion my camera was there in the kitchen with me to document the eggs-periments.

As of yet I have not had time to process all the photos for inclusion in this album, so in the near future more pictures of cooking with hen (chicken) eggs will be added to the collection. And in the months to come, I am looking forward to trying many more eggs-citing recipes which feature the incredible edible egg!
