This is the third album of photos taken during my April 2015 outing to downtown Portland,
The first album, Portland Downtown Spring 2015,
contains 58 pictures I took in the downtown area.
The next album, Portland Waterfront West 2015
presents 45 images from the west bank of the Willamette River.
After crossing the river via the historic (built 1912), one-of-a-kind Steel Bridge,
I slowly made my way south on the Eastbank Esplanade.
Even though it was only about a mile from Steel Bridge to Hawthorne Bridge,
it took me almost two hours, while I snapped just over 350 photos! I most definitely was a trigger-happy country bumpkin in the big city!
The reality is that there is SO much to see and photograph along this short, one-mile stretch of urban waterway. Especially since the City of Portland did such a great job creating the Eastbank Esplanade. Change position just a dozen yards and there is yet another great prospect to admire!
The view of the west-side skyline is awesome from the east bank! I captured the dazzling vista in my first three panorama photos of the year. From the total of 352 pictures I took along the Eastbank Esplanade, the best 49 are viewable in this album, including the three panoramas and two sequences.
