In January 2015, I visited Council Crest Park
— at 1,071 feet, the highest point in Portland
— for the first time. In addition to the awesome view of much of the metro area, you can also see:
- The 11,249 foot Mount Hood, the highest peak in Oregon,
50 miles away
- The 8,365 foot Mount St. Helens, in Washington state,
54 miles away.
- The 14,411 foot Mount Rainier, the highest point in Washington state and in the Cascades, 104 miles away.
- The 12,281 foot Mount Adams, in Washington state, 76 miles away.
I took a total of 19 pictures during my short stop at the top of Portland, and I’ve put the best nine into this album.
