In April 2014 I started my fourth year of photo outings to the nearby William L. Finley National Wildlife Refuge. I often think that this place has been misnamed, because for a wildlife refuge I find that it's hard to see much wildlife there. It seems to me that it would have been better to call it a Nature Reserve.

Whatever its name, it is still a nice place to go for walks. However, because it is lacking, for the most part, any spectacular natural features, I usually go there with low photographic expectations. But in the end, I always seem to come back with some nice shots. This year was no exception.

Don't miss the Finely Refuge photos from previous years: You can also see the pictures in all of my Finley Refuge photo albums gathered into one place in the conglomerate Finley Refuge (All Years) super-album.
