I LOVE black and white photography! There is a certain beauty and majesty to a good monochrome image which the inclusion of color tends to ruin. The past two albums, Black and White 2011
and Black and White 2012,
gather together over 250 pictures which are scattered among many different albums. This album continues the tradition for a new year.
For 2013, I got off to a good start with my photo outing to the Central Coast of California
during the first few days of the new year. I took pictures in three locations, the third of which was Morro Bay,
about a fourty-five-minute drive from where I was staying in Santa Maria.
Of the 23 photos in the Morro Bay 2013
album, 11 of them have contributed to the Black and White 2013 album! That's a great beginning for another great monochromatic year!
But it didn't stop there! Just a few weeks after going to California I made a trip over the Cascades
to Smith Rock State Park.
The rocky landscape there is ideal for black and white photography, as evidenced by the 61 photos that outing contributed to this album.
