Although I consider myself primarily a landscape photographer, I do run across a fair amount of wildlife while out in the landscapes — more than I would have imagined! During 2011 and 2012, I captured nearly 200 wildlife pictures which were worth sharing, as you can see in the Wildlife 2011
and Wildlife 2012
For 2013, I got off to a good start with my photo outing to the Central Coast of California
during the first few days of the new year. I took pictures in three locations, the first of which was Oso Flaco Lake
in the Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes,
which is only a short drive from where I was staying in Santa Maria.
Of the 26 photos in the Oso Flaco 2013
album, 25 of them have contributed to the Wildlife 2013 album!
My trip to Grover Beach
the next day added 24 more shots to this album, inlcuding photos of a Snowy Egret, monarch butterfies, sandpipers
Hopefully the entire year will be as fruitful!
Don't miss the wildlife photos from other years:
In addition, you can see all of my wildlife images together in the Wildlife (All Years)
