Another year has arrived, and so I begin a third album of macro photography with some ice crystals which formed on a frozen strawberry. There is a miniature, magical world waiting to be discovered, if we will only take the time and effort to see!

Photos number 2 through 8 in this album were test shots taken with my new Olympus TG-2 "tough" pocket camera. For being only a fairly-cheap point-and-shoot camera, it does remarkably well in the macro realm.

Photos 9 through 11 were taken during one of the rare times that I do macro photography in the field. Now that I have such a nice, portable macro lens, I hope to do more in the future.

Don't miss the macro photos from other years: In addition, you can see all of my macro images together in the Macro Magic (All Years) conglomerate "super-album."
For further details about the story behind the photos in this album, see the related article, An Early-Morning Outing to Finley Refuge.
The photos in this album were taken with the Olympus OM-D E-M5 and Olympus Stylus TG-2 cameras.
